Helium Leak Testing Applications

Helium Leak Testing find its usage in various kinds of application. Find your usage below

Helium Leak Testing for Medium Voltage Switchgears

HELIUM LEAK TESTING

( Medium Voltage Switchgears )

Helium leak testing for medium voltage switchgear, especially those using SF6 gas, ensures the integrity of the equipment by detecting and pinpointing leaks, which can lead to reduced functionality, increased maintenance, and environmental concerns.

Helium Leak Testing for Automotive components

HELIUM LEAK TESTING

( Automotive Components )

Automotive leak testing is crucial for ensuring the safety and reliability of vehicles by detecting and preventing leaks in components like fuel systems, air conditioning, and brake systems, Transmissions, Exhausts etc using Helium Leak Testing

Helium Leak Testing for High Pressure CNG parts

HELIUM LEAK TESTING

( High Pressure Parts
    Up to 1000 bar )

CNG component Helium Leak Testing involves using various methods, including pressure testing with nitrogen or helium, to ensure the integrity of CNG fuel systems and prevent dangerous leaks, which can lead to explosions or fires

HELIUM LEAK TESTING

( General Parts )

Helium leak testing machine for general parts

Helium Leak Testing is used in various applications from Fire Extinguishers, Safety Valves, Oil Barrels, Al Casted parts and Nuclear Fuel Bundles. All of these applications require very fine leak detection which can only be achieved through Helium Leak detection.

Helium leak testing uses helium as a tracer gas to detect minute leaks in parts or systems, employing a mass spectrometer to identify and measure helium escaping through leaks

HELIUM LEAK TESTING

( Large Parts )

Helium Leak Testing for Large parts

Helium leak testing, a non-destructive method, is used to detect and quantify leaks in large parts such as composite insulators by using helium as a tracer gas. The test involves exposing the insulator to helium, either by pressurizing it with helium or spraying helium around the component, and then using a mass spectrometer to detect any leaked helium. This method is highly sensitive and can detect even the smallest leaks. We have developed Helium Leak testing machines suitable for Testing of such Large parts of dims up to 16 meters in length and 1.7 meters in Diameter. Testing of such parts require huge Vacuum Chambers with capability of reaching fine vacuum up to 10 x -3 mbar Leak rates in the range of 10 x E -7 mbarl/s can be easily detected.

HELIUM RECOVERY UNITS

Helium Recovery

A Helium Recovery Unit (HRU) is a specialized system designed to collect, purify, and recycle helium used during helium leak testing processes. Since helium is a finite and increasingly costly resource, these units are critical in reducing helium consumption and operating costs in industrial leak detection applications.

Typical Application Areas:

  • Automotive components (e.g., fuel systems, air conditioning parts)

  • Aerospace assemblies

  • Medical devices

  • Refrigeration systems

  • Vacuum components and enclosures
